Jewelry designers—real question.
How are you pricing your pieces?
Are you pricing by:
• materials only?
• time + materials?
• wholesale vs. retail margins?
• intuition?
• fear of being “too expensive”?
Or… are you actually accounting for:
• tools• studio costs
• years of skill
• overhead & hidden expenses
• profit (yes—profit matters)
Too many designers are told their work is “beautiful” but struggle to make it sustainable.
I’m curious—what’s your current pricing method, and what feels most confusing or challenging about it?
Let’s talk honestly.
No shame.
Artists deserve to be paid fairly.
