Important growth experience in We Are Ships
In our meeting we discussed the meaning and depth of the word belief. In the context that Jesus uses it, it is very deep, not just a knowledge of, but a heart felt deep to the bone belief. I find that understanding of belief very comforting. When I looked at John 14 1-15 in another bible it had translated the word belief into Trust in... I felt that watered down the meaning of Jesus's words. It made me realize how important it is to read a good reliable translation. This is just one of the growth experiences I had in this classroom.
