This is a special request going out to all the Sewists, Dressmakers and Crafters out there. About 2 weeks ago two customers came into the the studio discussing how many dresses they'd tried on and not one style suited them - we said they were trying on the wrong style dresses for their body shape. On each occasion they looked confused and then bewildered. We had to explain to them in detail what the principle body shapes were and how they could guide some one with speed to a style of dress which most likely would look great on them...so us mere mortals in the studio are asking
a) Do you use Body Shapes - as a guide when selecting sewing patterns or dresses for yourself, clients or someone else?
b) If you don't use Body Shapes for clients, yourself and/or someone else then why not?
