I met through a different network. He shared with me his commitment to being of service by connecting people and showing up with a boots-on-the-ground approach.
He shared that he does 30+ hours of 1:1s every week and has done so since the 1990s.
Since I met him 6 weeks ago, I attempted to take on networking a minimum of 15hrs a week in 1:1s and group events.
There have been a few mishaps with missed meetings, and technology glitches.
Because I have epilepsy, and seizures show up without warning 2-3 times a week, it is embarrassing for me to not always be present.
Many have been so gracious even when they did not know my circumstances and allowed a meeting to be rescheduled.
It has been a curious and rewarding experience.
Because of the graciousness of others, it has had an unintended impact of expanding my own empathy of which I thought I have in abundance.
People use the words and talk about being of service and a contribution, etc., and it is interesting to see it authentically.
Thank you for embodying the true nature of contribution and love that we as humans are made of. I am going to do one more week of 15 hours of 1:1 and then increase it to 20 hours.
Additionally, I facilitate networking sessions for the purpose of deep, purposeful connections (not selling).
