Most people leave the house with a script.
Expectation → Interpretation → Disappointment.
They decide what should happen before anything has happened.
Then they spend the day measuring reality against the plan.
Lately I’ve been experimenting with something different:
Participation → Observation → Extraction.
Today looked like this:
- Go to Barloon.
- Show the video.
- Observe.
- Go to Madison Square Park.
- Photograph dogs.
- Talk to people.
- Observe.
- Extract signal tonight.
No prediction.
No forcing.
No attachment to outcomes.
Just participation.
If something happens, great.
If nothing happens, that’s information too.
Reality gets a vote.
The goal is not controlling the day.
The goal is participating in it.
Then seeing what reality has to say.
