We all fall victim to peer pressure at some point in our lives. What we need to realize is that peer pressure is the collective force of those around you, trying to keep you at their level of mediocrity, and of “fitting in” with the crowd.
It stems from their fear of you levelling up and outgrowing them. It reminds them of their own shortcomings. They seek to keep you comfortable. Step out of the comfort and embrace discomfort, as it is the only way to grow. Don’t be afraid of standing out, and not fitting in. Being exceptional requires being willing to be the exception.
The masses want you weak, as your strength is something they don’t want to face.
