I just realized something
So, when I'm bored I'm killing my braincells on YouTube. Sue me.
And I was watching something about Israel, Palestine, whatever, some sort of debate - and I suddenly realized that we Zionists/pro-Israelis and the pro-Palestine people, even those who are 'up for debate', speak completely different languages.
The go-to argument of the pro-Palestine crowd is "they're indigenous to the land". Now, technically speaking, we cannot beat that - because Arabs ARE indigenous to the region (land, region, both are the same to them - not when it comes to us, obviously, though), and we Jews are NOT indigenous to the land of Israel in particular.
That's why this debate never stops - because our argument is not "we're indigenous". No we're not, and we know that! Actually, if that's what they want to talk about - we come from somewhere closer to Turkey or Iraq. Our argument is "this has been our home for as long as we've had one" - and that is what they really cannot beat, which is why it never gets spoken in a 'debate'.
