Spiritually, this means most external conflict is a projection. When we haven’t faced our own shadow, we unconsciously fight it in others. Judgment, outrage without reflection, and constant blame are signs of inner fragmentation.
The “wise” person turns inward not to self-blame, but to self-honesty.
The “fool” avoids that discomfort and seeks enemies outside.
This image isn’t about good vs evil.
It’s about awareness vs avoidance.
True awakening is the courage to sit with yourself, regulate your nervous system, face your patterns, and integrate what you were taught to suppress. When that happens, the need to fight the world softens because the war inside has ended.
That’s spirituality rooted in reality, not escapism.
