When someone you love has anxiety, it's easy for their world to become your world.
You start thinking about what might trigger them.
You change your plans.
You constantly check whether they're okay.
You become so focused on keeping things calm that you forget to ask:
“How am I doing?”
Supporting someone doesn't mean abandoning yourself.
Keep doing the things that bring you joy.
Spend time with people who matter to you.
Rest. Laugh. Have your own interests.
You are allowed to have a life that isn't centred around anxiety.
Taking care of yourself isn't selfish.
You cannot pour endlessly from an empty cup.
You matter in this story too.
