R Praggnanandhaa wins Norway Chess 2026
Praggnanandhaa became the first Indian ever to win Norway Chess, finishing ahead of a field that included Magnus Carlsen, Gukesh, Wesley So, Alireza Firouzja, and Vincent Keymer. He finished the tournament with a remarkable late winning streak.
Also why is his last name so long? It feels like spelling hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia (did I just spell it correctly?), I've always wondered why is it so long (not making fun of it, it's very unique but still don't know how to pronounce it)
