Something I've noticed is that many people in this community would choose to play white over black and I've realised the issue. It's because very few people actually study black openings (test yourself by seeing how many black v white openings you can play well) and practice with black pieces. if you practiced using the black pieces and learning openings then you'll be able to beat your opponents a lot more in random colour matches.
