Activate your pieces :activating your less activated piece is very important because you create a tempo and good development Control the Center : By controlling the center you control the game because when you control the center you can put pieces there and it attacks the opponents 2nd rank
Use Prophylaxis : Now what is Prophylaxis? Prophylaxis is defending an attack before it happens .This is important in the middlegame because in the middlegame you will trade pieces but some times they close the position.Knights are tricky in closed positions because they move in Ls which is often unpredictable like there is a fork incoming you need to use prophylaxis.
