Don’t Point people with Your Finger ☝️😳❌
In Japan, pointing at people with your finger is seen as impolite and too direct. 👀
It can feel like you’re singling someone out or accusing them.
🙌 What to do instead?
Use your whole hand (palm up) to gesture politely, or gently nod in the direction.
💡 You should not do that just for people! Of course you can point places or things! However you might see hotel staff use their whole hand (palm up) to give you directions!
💬 Question Time:
👉 Do people in your country think pointing is rude? Or is there any unwritten rules with hands?
