Your routine builds your future.
I believe your daily habits are non negotiable because the way you live each day becomes the life you create long term.
I wake up around 6am.
I have worked in the trades most of my life, so waking up early has always been part of my lifestyle. It gives me structure, discipline, and a strong start before the world gets noisy.
The first thing I do is avoid my phone for the first 30 minutes.
No scrolling.
No distractions.
No checking messages straight away.
I want to control my mind before the world starts trying to control my attention.
Iโll usually have a colder shower in the morning because there are a lot of benefits around discipline, energy, focus, and starting the day doing something uncomfortable.
After that, I do my skincare and grooming routine so I feel fresh, clean, and presentable. How you look after yourself matters. When you feel sharp, you move different.
Then I take my supplements and make breakfast.
I try to eat clean and lean most of the time, but I also understand we are not always going to be perfect. The goal is to build a lifestyle you can actually stick to.
After breakfast, I train.
Most days Iโll do around 1 hour of weights followed by 1 hour of cardio.
I also aim for a minimum of 10,000 steps a day because I work at a desk a lot now, so I need to keep my body moving.
If I can, Iโll use the sauna after training.
Then Iโll usually grab a black coffee as my little morning treat.
When I get home, I have my second meal of the day and get ready for work.
Most of my work now is social media, business, systems, content, community, and building the future I want.
I usually work 9 to 5, but realistically I am often still on the computer until 9pm or later.
This is the season I am in.
I am building.
I am focused.
I do not drink.
I do not go out much.
I am locked in on my mission and goals because I believe your 20s are one of the most important decades of your life.
Two to three times a week, I also train Muay Thai.
I believe learning how to fight as a man is powerful.
It builds confidence, discipline, humility, fitness, and respect.
As Mฤori, I also connect with the warrior mindset of my people. Our people were fierce warriors for generations, and I believe every man should know how to protect himself and carry himself with strength.
At night, I try to stay off my phone and zone out properly.
Instead of wasting hours scrolling, I try to watch self improvement videos, learn, reflect, and keep feeding my mind.
Before bed, I aim to read at least 5 pages of a book and spend time learning another language on Duolingo.
I am not perfect with this every night.
Sometimes I slip.
But the standard is still the standard.
Perfect is the goal.
You may not hit it every day, but you should never settle for less than what you know you are capable of.
I also meal prep every Sunday for the week ahead.
Having food ready makes it easier to stay on track with a basic lean diet and avoid making lazy decisions when I am busy.
One of the biggest tools I use is Google Calendar.
If I win the day, I mark it with a green tick.
If I do not, I mark it with a red tick.
I log everything.
This keeps me accountable because I can visually see whether I am actually doing what I said I would do.
I also use Notes for my daily to do list and check it every day to stay on top of tasks.
On top of that, I have written out my 5 year goals and I am working towards them every single day.
Your routine does not need to look exactly like mine.
But you do need one.
You need structure.
You need standards.
You need habits that move you closer to the life you say you want.
You will not always be perfect.
But you should always be aiming higher.
Win the day.
Stack the wins.
Build the man.
