Good morning everyone! ☀️
I wanted to share a recent experience I’ve had because I know not everyone here wants to focus on reselling courses — and the good news is, there are a lot of other ways to monetize online.
Over the past year I’ve been building a digital brand called Redacted Report. It’s basically a conspiracy-style pop culture news channel — kind of like a TMZ-style format — where I cover topics that I personally find interesting and entertaining.
In the last month alone a few really exciting things happened:
• I was interviewed by The Verge
• I appeared on TMZ
• I was a guest on The Raydical Truth podcast
• And today I was offered a $2,400/month retainer to host another digital show (8 videos per month)
It’s honestly been really exciting to see progress happening in my little corner of the internet.
The way I monetize this channel is through view monetization. I create entertaining content and distribute it across platforms like TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Snapchat, which all have creator monetization programs.
Because the content is getting traction, something interesting has started happening — people are reaching out to me. Not just to feature me on their shows, but also to host content for their platforms, which creates another income stream on top of monetizing my own views.
For example, in February alone I made $1,300 just from view monetization on one TikTok channel.
I just wanted to share this as a reminder that there are so many different ways to monetize digital content. You don’t have to rely on reselling a course if that’s not something you want to do — sometimes building a brand around content you actually enjoy can open doors you didn’t expect.
