A Risky Test on TikTok
I’ve seen a lot of people talk about “buying TT followers”.
Some say it gets you banned, others say it unlocks features rapidly. So, I wanted to put it to the test on a brand new account.
Here’s what we did:
- Created a KDP book on AMZ that we will use TT to promote.
- Create a TT account with the username for the book launch.
- Paid SocialWick around $15 for 5,000 followers.
To my surprise, the 5k came in 48 hours and TT didn’t flag a single thing.
We were given Live access and the Link in Bio feature we were chasing. This allowed us to immediately link our book up to our page.
We were not however granted TT Shop access as I feel TT scrapes accounts for organic Like to Follow ratios and interaction on videos.
Conclusion: Buying followers WILL unlock certain features but not all. It does not appear to “ban” you, but this could have been luck of the draw.
