The art of letting go…
So you let something go or you want to let something go, huh?
Most recently I did too… A relationship where I knew I wasn’t being treated like I deserve and I had voiced it multiple times with no change. It was just under a year old, but I am 28. I just can’t keep giving someone my all when they call me a gold digger for asking him to get a job.
I let him go because he wasn’t on the same page, but parts of me urns to turn my hook back chapters to be with him… But I won’t. I refuse. I refuse to lower my bar/standards just to fit someone else’s narrative. That’s how you become unbelievably unhappy. I had a taste of that and although he had the potential to become an amazing man… That’s all it is right now. Potential. And the only person who can turn that potential into reality is him…
The lessons I’ve learned that could help you let go:
❤️‍🩹 When you acknowledge your worth or you’ve been shown your worth, hold onto that and believe it.
❤️‍🩹You don’t have to lower standards, you can find someone who increases them instead.
❤️‍🩹 You’re not alone, and neither was I.
❤️‍🩹YOU DESERVE BETTER.
LEAVE A COMMENT for others to see the way you’ve coped with letting go of someone or something.
