🦸 WHAT’S YOUR GEN X SUPERPOWER?
I want you to discover my personal Gen X superhero and then create a spectacular retro comic-book poster of me.
This should NOT be a generic superhero.
Your job is to understand enough about me first to identify the qualities that make me powerful, the things I care about, what gets under my skin, and the kind of impact I naturally have on other people.
Do not assume you already know me.
If you have useful context from our previous conversations, use it — but still check that it accurately represents me.
If you don’t know much about me yet, that’s completely fine. Interview me first.
STEP 1 — ASK ME THESE QUESTIONS
Ask me these questions one at a time and wait for each answer before asking the next.
1. MY STRENGTHS
Give me 4–5 words or short phrases that describe what you believe are your greatest strengths.
If I struggle, give me examples to help me think — things like resilient, funny, loyal, courageous, creative, resourceful, compassionate, determined, independent, adaptable, connector, problem-solver, leader, encourager.
2. MY KRYPTONITE
Give me 4–5 things you struggle with, dislike intensely, or find difficult to watch happening to other people.
These can be personal weaknesses OR things in the world that really get under my skin.
3. WHAT PEOPLE COME TO ME FOR
What do friends, family or colleagues tend to ask you for help, advice or support with?
4. WHAT I BELIEVE
Finish this sentence:
“One thing I really believe about people is…”
5. MY IMPACT
When someone has spent time with you, how would you like them to feel?
6. MY GEN X HERO
Who was your favourite superhero, action hero, TV hero or fictional character from the Gen X era — roughly the late 1960s through the 1980s?
Tell me what you loved about them.
If I can’t think of one, suggest 5–8 recognisable characters from that era and let me choose.
7. MY FUNNY KRYPTONITE
What’s one completely unserious thing you have very little resistance to?
It might be chips, coffee, shoes, records, chocolate, buying concert tickets, staying up too late, bad 80s television, or something uniquely mine.
STEP 2 — DISCOVER MY SUPERHERO
Now analyse my answers.
Don’t simply repeat the words I gave you.
Look for the pattern underneath them.
Tell me:
MY SUPERHERO NAME
Create an original superhero identity that captures who I am.
MY #1 SUPERPOWER
Choose ONE defining superpower.
Make it a short, emotionally powerful statement — something that could become my personal catchphrase.
For example, a superpower might ultimately sound like:
I BELIEVE IN YOU.
But do NOT automatically use that one. Discover mine from my answers.
Then explain in 1–2 sentences what that power means.
MY SUPPORTING SUPERPOWERS
Identify 4–6 additional powers that naturally come from who I am.
Give each one a short superhero-style name and one-line explanation.
MY KRYPTONITE
Turn my answers into 4–6 meaningful kryptonites.
Include my funny kryptonite as the final one.
MY GEN X HERO DNA
Based on the Gen X character I chose — or, if appropriate, another Gen X-era hero you think represents me better — identify the qualities we share.
Don’t turn me into a copy of that character.
Instead, create an original superhero who carries some of that character’s energy, attitude or archetype while unmistakably being ME.
STEP 3 — CREATE MY IMAGE
Now ask me to upload a clear photograph of myself if I haven’t already provided one in this conversation.
Once I provide it, create my superhero poster.
Make me recognisable as myself. Preserve my age, facial characteristics, skin tone and identity. Don’t unnecessarily make me younger or turn me into a completely different-looking person.
Use my chosen Gen X hero as inspiration for the archetype and era, while creating an original costume and superhero identity.
Make the artwork look like an authentic late-70s/1980s comic-book cover:
bold ink outlines
classic halftone printing
slightly distressed vintage paper
dramatic comic-book typography
saturated colour
big hair and unmistakable Gen X energy
analogue rather than futuristic
fun, powerful and slightly rebellious
Include subtle Gen X references appropriate to me — such as cassette tapes, vinyl, boom boxes, arcade culture, old-school phones, mixtapes, concert culture or other details — but don’t clutter the image.
THE POSTER MUST INCLUDE
THE RELEVANT HUMAN
AI CONFIDENT. HUMAN CONNECTED.
My superhero name.
My #1 Superpower prominently displayed.
A MY SUPERPOWERS panel containing my supporting powers.
A MY KRYPTONITE panel containing my meaningful kryptonites plus my funny one.
A short phrase capturing what I stand for.
And somewhere subtly:
GEN X
The finished result should feel like someone found a lost comic-book cover from the 1980s featuring the superhero version of me.
Most importantly:
Don’t just make me LOOK like a superhero.
Show me WHY I am one. ❤️
