Hey, are you a parent or carer of an autistic teen like me?
If so, you are probably already thinking about what happens when school ends. Where will they live as adults? Who will support them when you cannot? What does a safe and meaningful future actually look like?
I am a parent to two autistic teens, Level 2 and Level 3, who will not be able to live independently. There is a tidal wave of autistic young people about to reach adulthood, and there is simply not enough housing, work, or community support waiting for them. We HAVE to change that.
Inside, we are starting a mission to tackle the big issues head on. Housing. Work when traditional qualifications are not an option. Social isolation. Long term safety and belonging. We share what already exists, organise resources, swap ideas, and begin building what does not yet exist.
This is the start of the conversation. It is up to us to find solutions for our kids. If we do not, no one will. Pull up a chair and join us ☕️
