I came across Derek’s Acting Masters after attending a Spotlight Mental Health session, and it’s been such a fulfilling find. From the Morning Coffee Catch-Ups to challenges like the One Minute Movie, there’s a genuine sense of community and development. Derek is incredibly approachable, always ready to reply, and takes a real interest in every member, both pastorally and in helping us develop, progress and succeed in our careers. A brilliant community to be part of! Cheers Derek and Team TAM!

Derek is genuinely one of the kindest and most professional trainers I’ve ever worked with. His guidance, patience, and way of bringing out the best in you made such a huge difference to me. Since joining his training, I’ve seen my acting skills literally elevate to another level. I’ve gained so much more confidence, understanding, and control as an actor. I’m genuinely grateful for everything I’ve learned from him and would highly recommend Derek to anyone serious about improving their craft.

I've been with TAM since it's infancy back in 2022. Being a complete newbie with no prior knowledge, training or experience, joining TAM has propelled my acting career beyond recognition. Derek & all the coaches are incredible at breaking everything down & building up your understanding, ability & confidence as an actor. Whether a complete newbie or a seasoned professional, being part of this brilliant community offers the support, training, & industry insight actors need to develop & thrive.

Without any doubt whatsoever, Derek has created the top creating and learning platform for acting in the UK. Not only is he humble, thoughtful, caring, and looks for every single prospective actor/actress in the TAM family, he has brought in the top coaches of their acting fields - be that the creative, business end, or the inner work that each actor has to have in the acting world today. I have seen my own progression skyrocket from being actively involved in the programme. SO grateful!!

This community is a consistent presence that reminds me of what I am capable of in a very volatile industry. You are supported, championed and most importantly, you are actioning and steering your career in the direction you want it to go when you are part of TAM. It's not motivation, it is putting into action and taking the steps to develop not just performance but everything else that is required to actually work as a performer. From networking with casting directors to your portfolio.
