Where are you thriving and flourishingv
What has been the hardest thing you have ever gone through?
What are you currently going through right now?
Maybe it is something you have never talked about with anyone. Maybe it has left you hurting, confused, or wondering what God is doing.
Maybe someone you love has left your life. Maybe a relationship has changed, or someone has decided to separate. Maybe your family is going through something you never expected. Maybe you are trying to hold everything together while inside, you feel like you are falling apart.
Whatever it is, I want you to know something:
God is in the midst of it all.
He knows what He is doing, even when we don't understand it.
There have been times in my own life when I have had to talk with God and simply tell Him, “I cannot do this on my own.” I needed Him close. And the truth is, we need Him close every second of every day.
I don't just need God to give me the strength to do things on my own. I need His strength working through me.
That is a very different kind of dependence.
It is saying, “Lord, I can't do this without You. I need You. I need Your strength. I need Your wisdom. I need Your presence. Please work through me.”
And isn't that what faith is sometimes?
Leaning into Him when we don't have the answers.
Trusting Him when we cannot see the whole picture.
Believing He is working even when everything around us seems to be falling apart.
🌱 Look at the Flowers
Have you ever really stopped and looked at a blooming scene?
There is something beautiful about flowers. Each one grows differently. Some bloom quickly, while others take their time. Some need more sunlight. Some need more water. Some seem to thrive where we would never expect them to grow.
And sometimes, the most beautiful blooms come after difficult weather.
That makes me think about us.
We can look at someone else's life and think they are flourishing while we are struggling just to make it through the day. We can wonder why their life seems to be blooming while ours feels like it is stuck beneath the soil.
But maybe we are looking at the wrong thing.
Maybe the question isn't, “Why am I not blooming like they are?”
Maybe the question is:
“Where am I thriving and flourishing because I am rooted in God?”
Because flourishing doesn't mean that everything around us is perfect.
Flourishing doesn't mean we haven't experienced pain.
Flourishing doesn't mean people won't leave.
Flourishing doesn't mean relationships won't change.
Flourishing means that even in the middle of those things, we remain rooted in Him.
🌸 God Is Still There
Think about parenting and family life.
There are days when we know we cannot do it on our own. There are decisions we don't know how to make. There are situations we don't know how to fix. There are moments when all we can do is talk to God and say, “Lord, I need You.”
And He is there.
When our families are celebrating, He is there.
When our families are hurting, He is there.
When someone is in our lives, He is there.
When someone leaves, He is still there.
When someone chooses to separate, He is still there.
When we understand what is happening, He is there.
And when we don't understand a thing, He is still there.
God does not disappear simply because our circumstances change.
He is still our strength.
He is still our hope.
He is still our Light.
🌷 Even in the Darkness
Sometimes the hardest part of a difficult season is that we cannot see what is happening beneath the surface.
Think about a seed planted in the ground.
It is surrounded by darkness.
From the outside, it may look like nothing is happening.
But underneath the soil, something is growing.
Roots are forming.
Life is beginning.
And eventually, something breaks through the darkness and reaches toward the Light.
Maybe your life feels like that right now.
Maybe you feel buried beneath circumstances you never expected.
Maybe you are hurting from something that happened in your past.
Maybe you are walking through pain right now.
Maybe you are wondering how you are going to get through tomorrow.
But just because you cannot see what God is doing doesn't mean He isn't working.
There can be growth in places we cannot yet see.
And there can be Light even in the darkest situation.
💜 Lean Into Him
I have learned that I don't want to try to figure everything out on my own.
I want God close.
I need Him close.
I need Him in my parenting.
I need Him in my family.
I need Him in my relationships.
I need Him in my decisions.
I need Him in my good days and my difficult days.
I need Him every single second.
So when I don't know what to do, I want to lean into Him.
When I am hurting, I want to lean into Him.
When I am afraid, I want to lean into Him.
When I don't understand, I want to lean into Him.
And then I want to trust Him enough to let Him do what He does best.
Be God.
He knows what He is doing.
I may not understand the path.
I may not like the circumstances.
I may not know how the story will turn out.
But I can trust the One who does.
🌻 Where Are You Flourishing?
So I want to leave you with this question:
Where are you thriving and flourishing?
Take a moment and really think about it.
Maybe your first answer is, “I'm not.”
But look again.
Where has your faith grown?
Where have you learned to trust God more?
Where have you discovered strength you know you didn't have on your own?
Where has God carried you?
Where are you still standing when you thought you wouldn't be able to?
Maybe that is your blooming scene.
Maybe flourishing isn't always a beautiful garden filled with flowers.
Maybe sometimes it is simply one little bloom pushing its way through the soil.
And maybe that little bloom is you.
You are still here.
You are still growing.
You are still reaching toward the Light.
And God is still with you.
🌸 A Little Hope for Today
Whatever you are going through today, whatever pain you have experienced, or whatever pain you are currently walking through, don't give up hope.
There is Light even in the darkest situation.
There is growth even when you cannot see it.
There is hope even when circumstances tell you otherwise.
And there is a God who has not left you.
So lean into Him.
Trust Him.
Give Him the things you cannot carry.
Let Him strengthen you.
Let Him work through you.
And let Him grow something beautiful in you, even in the places that feel dark right now.
Because sometimes the blooming scene isn't about what is happening around us.
Sometimes it is about what God is growing within us.
And maybe, just maybe, you are flourishing more than you realize.
🌱 Keep growing. Keep trusting. Keep leaning into Him.
Your story isn't over.
There is still Light.
There is still hope.
And there is still something beautiful waiting to bloom.
