COMMUNITY GUIDELINES & BOUNDARIES 💜
Welcome to The Unscripted Mom Collective.
This community is for real moms living real life — the good days, the messy days, the tiny wins, the overwhelm, the creativity, the routines that work until they suddenly don’t, and everything in between.
You do not have to have it all together here.
What we do ask is that everyone helps keep this community kind, respectful, useful, and comfortable to participate in.
Lead With Kindness
There is no room here for mom-shaming, bullying, name-calling, personal attacks, or tearing another member down.
We are going to have different experiences, opinions, routines, families, and ways of doing things.
That is okay.
You can disagree respectfully.
You can ask questions.
You can share another perspective.
And sometimes, you can simply scroll on by.
If a comment is cruel, intentionally inflammatory, or meant to embarrass another member, it may be removed.
Real Life Is Welcome
You do not need to show up with a polished house, perfect routine, inspiring story, or beautifully wrapped lesson at the end.
Share the tiny wins.
Share the things that did not go according to plan.
Ask for ideas when something is not working.
Laugh about the ridiculous parts of motherhood with us.
We celebrate progress, honesty, connection, and good-enough days here.
Protect Each Other’s Privacy
If another member shares something personal inside the community, please treat it with care.
Do not screenshot, repost, copy, or share another member’s story, photo, comment, or personal information outside the group without their permission.
Trust is what makes honest conversations possible.
Be the Kind of Member You’d Want to Meet
You do not need to respond to every post, but when you have something kind or helpful to add, jump in.
Celebrate someone’s win.
Answer a question if you have experience with it.
Leave a supportive comment.
Drop the ridiculous GIF. 😂
A thriving community is not built by one person talking at everyone. It happens when members start recognizing, supporting, and talking to each other.
Promotion Has a Place
We absolutely want to celebrate what you are creating and accomplishing.
However, this is first and foremost a mom-life community, not a promotional feed.
Please only share business links, products, affiliate links, blogs, social accounts, communities, offers, or recruiting opportunities when:
  • the post specifically invites you to share them
  • you are participating in a designated promotional thread
  • Kristen or a moderator has approved it
  • the link is relevant to a conversation and you have been invited to share it
Unapproved promotional posts, repetitive advertising, affiliate spam, recruiting, or dropping links simply to gain traffic may be removed.
Your profile is always a great place to let people learn more about what you do.
No Unwanted DMs or Soliciting
Please do not privately message members to sell, recruit, pitch coaching, promote an opportunity, or request a collaboration unless they have clearly invited that conversation.
Nobody joined this community hoping for surprise sales messages in their inbox.
Connections should happen naturally.
Keep It Comfortable for a Broad Mom Audience
Real conversations are welcome.
Graphic sexual content, disturbing imagery, hateful material, or intentionally offensive content is not.
You do not have to sound formal or pretend motherhood is squeaky clean — just use good judgment and remember that this is a shared community space.
Help Us Keep Things Organized
When possible, choose the category that best fits what you are sharing.
If you genuinely are not sure where something belongs, post it anyway.
We would much rather move a good conversation than have you avoid posting because you were worried about choosing the wrong category.
Ask for Support — Without Becoming Someone’s Professional
Members are welcome to talk about what has worked for them and share personal experiences.
Please be careful with medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional topics.
Share what you experienced rather than diagnosing another member, prescribing treatment, or presenting personal advice as professional guidance.
When something needs professional help, encourage the person to seek the appropriate qualified support.
Handle Conflict Privately
If something in the community makes you uncomfortable or you believe another member has crossed a boundary, please contact Kristen or a moderator.
Do not turn disagreements into public battles.
We will do our best to handle concerns calmly, fairly, and privately.
Keep the Spirit of the Community in Mind
The Unscripted Mom Collective exists to help motherhood feel a little lighter, calmer, more creative, and less lonely.
Before posting, ask yourself:
Is this helpful, connecting, encouraging, curious, funny, supportive, or genuinely relevant to the women here?
Not every post has to be positive.
Hard days belong here too.
There is simply a difference between saying, “Today is really hard and I need some support,” and bringing hostility or constant negativity into the space.
And Finally…
Nobody is expected to memorize a giant rulebook.
If you accidentally post something in the wrong place, misunderstand a guideline, or make a mistake, we will usually just redirect you.
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is a community where women can show up as themselves, feel comfortable joining the conversation, and know that the people around them will treat them with respect.
Come as you are.
Be kind.
Participate naturally.
Help another mom feel welcome.
That is really what keeps The Unscripted Mom Collective feeling like home. 💜
