You know what you want the photo to look like. That shot from years ago that actually worked. But lately, the camera comes out flat — not wrong, just not it. That's worse than not trying, because now you know the gap is real.
I know that gap. I fell for photography at 16, wanted to shoot for National Geographic — then a few people told me it was unrealistic, so I put the camera down for years. Picking it back up wasn't the hard part. Closing that gap was.
Rediscovering Photography is where you learn to pick up your camera again, after life took over, after telling yourself on repeat “one day,.” After someone squashed you and said you can’t do that.
