International Cat Day
Yesterday someone asked what animal we are.
My answer surprised me.
A silky, shiny black jaguar.
Not because it’s the strongest.
Because it doesn’t need to announce its strength.
It moves quietly.
It watches.
It chooses its moments.
That feels like me.
