I’m dreaming about creating something called Together We Rise.
The idea is simple, but meaningful. It would connect two single mothers who are coming out of divorce, leaving abusive situations, or just struggling to make it on their own in an economy that feels impossible sometimes.
I imagine a platform where single mothers could connect, talk, and truly get to know each other emotionally, mentally, and financially to see if they might be a good fit to support one another. If they feel comfortable and have the ability, they could choose to share a home for a year… or longer if it works for them.
They would split bills, share household responsibilities, and help care for each other’s children when one of them needs to work extra hours. The goal would be to create stability so mothers can earn income without losing it all to childcare or relying on people or situations that don’t feel safe, but are the only affordable option.
But I want it to be more than just shared housing.
I would also want to offer access to programs that help women build financial stability, learn how to protect themselves, recognize manipulation, and understand the signs of unhealthy or abusive dynamics so they can move forward stronger and more confident.
I would love for there to be self-defense classes, so women can feel physically empowered and safer in their everyday lives.
And I imagine small support circles where women can share their stories, talk about their trauma, and help each other heal in a space built on trust, understanding, and compassion. A place where no one has to carry everything alone.
This isn’t meant to be perfect or fully figured out yet. It’s just something I feel deeply called to create a support system built on shared strength, safety, healing, and growth.
I would really love to hear honest thoughts.
If something like this existed… would anyone be interested?
