Your Freedom Number: The Only Financial Goal That Actually Matters
I've coached hundreds of people who want to "make money online" or "replace their job income."
When I ask how much they need, they say things like:
  • "I want to hit $10k/month"
  • "I want to be a millionaire"
  • "I just want to make good money"
These aren't goals. They're fantasies.
Here's what actually works: Calculate your Freedom Number.
Step 1: Find your monthly expenses
  • Look at 6 months of bank statements
  • Add up everything (rent/mortgage, utilities, food, subscriptions, everything)
  • Find the average
  • Add 10% buffer
Let's say that's $5,000/month.
Step 2: Calculate how many assets you need
  • Average rank and rent site: $500/month
  • $5,000 ÷ $500 = 10 sites
That's it. 10 rental sites = freedom.
Not a million dollars. Not 100 clients. Ten sites.
Step 3: Work backwards
  • If it takes 3-6 months to rank a site
  • And you can work on 2-3 at a time
  • You could hit your Freedom Number in 18-24 months
Why this matters:
When I was at General Motors, I threw around "I want to make $50k/month" like everyone else.
Then I did this exercise and realized I only needed $6,000/month.
That was 12 sites.
Suddenly, freedom wasn't some distant dream. It was a specific, executable plan.
What's your Freedom Number? Do the math and drop it below.
