Mindfulness versus Meditation
Meditation is a formal practice of focusing your attention, often on your breath or a mantra. Mindfulness is the informal practice of being present in whatever you are doing. You can be mindful while washing dishes, eating, or walking. Both cultivate awareness, reduce stress, and improve focus. Meditation trains you to be mindful; mindfulness applies the training to life.
