When Going With the Flow Stops Feeling Fulfilling
“If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll wind up someplace else.” — Yogi Berra
That quote feels personal to me.
For a long time, I let the waves take me in life. And honestly? In many ways, it worked. I kept moving, kept growing, kept figuring things out as I went and I accomplished a lot. From the outside, it probably even looked pretty successful...
Eventually I realized something important: just because something is working doesn’t mean it’s fulfilling.
That’s where this season of life has gotten real for me.
I’m learning that clarity and direction do not just magically appear. They take intention. They take honesty. And they take unlearning the habits that taught us to just go with the flow, keep pushing, and call it “fine.”
That is a HUGE part of what The Salty Seas means to me.
It’s about not drifting through life just because you’re good at surviving the waves. It's about choosing your direction. It's about getting clear on what actually matters. And for me, it’s about staying clear, because this is definitely still a work in progress.
Old habits are hard to break… lol.But I’d rather keep doing the work than keep waking up feeling disconnected from my own life.
So maybe this is your reminder too:You do not need to have it all figured out.But you do owe yourself the courage to stop drifting and start asking where you truly want to go.
