One Day At A Time

Good morning! I joined this group when Marquita created it because I wanted to change the narrative and go forward and be successful in life. (Same reason some of u did lol) Truthfully this has been a long hard year. Probably the hardest year I’ve been through yet. I almost lost my son due to a drowning incident this year but God said now is NOT his time. He still here healthy and thriving. At the beginning of October I lost my uncle to stage 4 cancer. Every single thing that could have went wrong this year HAS but I won’t use that as an excuse not to move forward. Although I fell off with staying focused, I did something I’m proud of. I created a children’s coloring book geared toward black children. A project created to help them see themselves as dreamers, achievers, and heroes. This has been months of late nights, learning curves, and pushing myself creatively, and I’m proud of how it turned out.
