Mileage claim just increased!
Hi everyone,
In case you missed it, there was some very good news yesterday for those using their own car or van for business journeys. The approved business mileage rate is increasing from 45p to 55p per mile for the first 10,000 business miles.
This could mean up to an additional £1,000 tax-free per year if you are claiming the full 10,000 business miles.
Please remember to keep accurate mileage records throughout the year so we can claim this mileage back at the new rate. I’ve attached a mileage spreadsheet that you can use to record your business journeys.
Just to note, this applies only where you use your own personal vehicle for business travel. Company vehicles are subject to separate rates depending on the vehicle and fuel type.
