Welcome to The Plot. Where are you growing?
Before we start, I want to know who's in the room.
Your growing zone is the single most important number in your garden. It tells you what survives the winter, when to plant, and how long your season runs. If you don't know yours, start with Unit 1.1 — the reference sheet at the bottom of that lesson covers Canadian, USDA, RHS, and Australian systems, with a personal climate card you fill in for your own site.
Vote below, then drop a comment and tell me two things:
  1. Where you're growing. City or country — I want to see the spread.
  2. What Zone are you in?
I read every comment.

POLL: What's the crop that keeps failing on you?
Odds are someone in here has already cracked it. That's the point of the room.
Peppers — won't ripen, tiny plants
Squash or cucumbers — mildew, vine borers
Brassicas — cabbage worms, bolting
Root veg — forked, stunted, bitter
Greens — Bolt before you can eat them
Something else — tell me in the comments
