After more than 25 years working with children, here are 5 things I’ve learnt:
❤️ Children don't need perfect parents — they need connection.
🧠 Play is learning. What looks like “just playing” can be developing language, problem-solving, confidence, coordination and social skills.
👂 Sometimes behaviour is communication. Before asking “How do I stop this behaviour?”, it can help to ask “What is my child trying to tell me?”
⏰ Routines can make life easier. Children often feel more secure when they know what comes next.
💗 And finally… trust yourself. You know your child better than anyone.
