Hello everyone!
My name is Rich Ford and I'm the Owner of Ford Fitness Personal Training and your Coach here at the Pain-Free Performance Lab in Indianapolis, Indiana! I'm excited to be starting my group and helping hundreds (and one day, 1000's) of people just like you find ways to relive their pains in their shoulders, hips, knees, and more and live full physical lives!
But first, a little about me: Born in Chicago. Been a Personal Trainer going on 19 years (Man, I'm old! LOL) Anyway, I was a former high school and college athlete that got into working out just for basketball and my dream of playing in college. Well, I was able to attain that goal, but fitness gave me a lot more than that. It turned a shy kid in college to have confidence-and from seeing how my body was changing, it became a lifestyle for me. Years after graduating, I was encouraged by a veteran trainer at my local park district to become a personal trainer after seeing my commitment to learning all I could about fitness. So I did, and my life has changed for the better!
I've helped dozens of people in my career and seeing how my clients' lives have changed makes my career so much fun! Then a few years ago, I ran into a trainer who would become my mentor after suffering from a injury to my calf after putting in two 5k's a week. They taught me things on how to rehab and heal my joints and muscles and let me tell you fam...it changed how I looked at training!!
I learned 1.5 MILLION people annually suffer from some musculoskeletal issues-and some of them were my clients and others I met over the last few years! So I started studying and applying what I learned. The changes to my clients were AMAZING! One client had low back pain for 7 years and with my help we were able to help her! Another dealt with lack of mobility in his right shoulder, and with my methods to help improve the rotator cuff, he's had more mobility than ever! It really brought me joy to help so many that had aches and pains that they dealt with daily...for YEARS!
Now with my PFPA Skool Page, I want to bring my skills and knowledge to help people all across the world move better, get rid of nagging pains and more. Maybe your foot pain has stopped you from taking that jog in the morning. Or maybe you've stayed away from bench press because of that crunching shoulder pain (been there-will share that story another time!), whatever it may be, I want to be your "go-to guy" to help your find out what the pain is, give you tips and programs to help you improve it, and then hopefully with consistency, I can see testimonial videos on how what you've learned on the Pain-Free Performance Lab has helped you improve your movement and life!
