It’s the three people on the couch that make me think too much. 😂🎤
When it comes to singing in front of people, I’d rather have a big audience than a tiny group sitting right in front of me.
Anybody else backward like that? 😂
As I get ready to sing the National Anthem at the International Camel and Ostrich Races today, September 13, I’ve been thinking about how different singing confidence can look for each of us.
One person feels comfortable at church but freezes at karaoke. Another sings freely at home—until somebody walks into the room.
That’s worth talking about here in Sing It Like You Mean It. Learning to trust your voice isn’t only about the notes. It’s also noticing when you start holding yourself back and what you’re worried someone might hear.
You don’t have to set “sing for 500 people” as your goal. Letting one trusted person hear a song might be a meaningful step for you.
My next audience happens to come with camels and ostriches. Yours can be considerably less complicated. 😂🐪
Where do you feel most comfortable singing—and what changes when someone else is listening?
