Too much Insulin is never a good thing
One of the most dangerous things about being an insulin dependent person, is TOO much insulin!
Oftentimes, according to my doctor, people forget they have just given themselves a dose, so they go again, effectively a double-dose. This is not good because what may happen, and don't believe the movies, is that if your blood sugar goes to low, you will feel tired, a bit achey, and tired so you go lie down for a snooze.
If not aware, you may slip into a diabetic coma.
This extract from the Mayo Clinic website
"A diabetic coma is a life-threatening disorder that causes unconsciousness. If you have diabetes, dangerously high blood sugar (hyperglycemia) or dangerously low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) can lead to a diabetic coma.
If you go into a diabetic coma, you're alive — but you can't wake up or respond purposefully to sights, sounds or other types of stimulation. If it's not treated, a diabetic coma can result in death."
