Nice little paper: “Dogs Supporting Human Health and Well‑Being”
Hi lovely people,
Here is a nice little paper that supports the video I was posting yesterday.
This review article summarises evidence on how human–dog interaction affects mental and physical health. It discusses how short‑term interactions with dogs can significantly reduce stress, anxiety, and distress and can even lower cortisol levels (the stress hormone). It also covers how dog presence increases positive affect (happiness and well‑being).
👉 Key takeaway: Dog interactions can be calming, emotionally supportive, and biologically stress‑reducing.
