If I could ask Napoleon one question, I’d ask how much being an outsider shaped his ambition. Coming from a modest background and not fully fitting in, he still managed to rise incredibly fast. I’d like to know whether that feeling of having something to prove was a key part of his success — or something that ultimately worked against him.
