Where was the last place you travelled to, and did you learn any phrases before you went? If you did, what was the most useful phrase you used?

I just came back from...well, it was not exactly a holiday since I've been living there for 13 years...London. So I used English every day.

I'm planning to go to Turkey and practice the little Turkish I've learnt at University.
