A Monday Message from Coach Soat
0.0004%.
That’s the percentage of people in the world who have ever finished a 100-mile race.
I’ve done one. I’ve also run marathons, 50Ks, 50-milers, and a 100K. But here’s the truth—it doesn’t make me special.
What separates me isn’t talent or luck—it’s this: I don’t quit.
One foot in front of the other, no matter how painful or exhausting it gets. That mindset has carried me far beyond running—it’s shaped how I approach my career, my family, my health, and my life.
And I’ll be the first to tell you—I don’t do it alone. My strength comes from Jesus Christ. He’s the reason I have the endurance to keep pressing forward when everything inside me says stop.
I also want to touch on something we don’t talk about enough: men’s mental health. Too many of us carry heavy battles in silence. I’ve been there. Running has taught me this truth: when you keep moving and keep your faith, there’s always a way through. Don’t quit on yourself, and don’t be afraid to speak up.
Here’s the bottom line: anyone can achieve something extraordinary. You can run farther than you thought possible, you can build the life you’ve dreamed of, and you can become the person you were meant to be.
But it only happens if you refuse to quit.
The finish line isn’t for the most “talented.” It’s for those who keep going when everything in them wants to stop.
So whatever mountain you’re facing right now—don’t give up. Keep moving.
