Daily Giveback 0069 – Obstacles Are the Way

Every dream faces resistance.

The difference between those who make it and those who don’t isn’t just desire — it’s faith paired with a plan.

A young woman once felt called to serve as a missionary in China.

She applied through the China Inland Mission, only to be rejected for lacking the right academic background.

Many would have quit. But she didn’t.

Instead, she prayed, trusted God, and built her plan.

She worked, saved every dollar she could, and bought the cheapest ticket she could find.

Against all odds, she made it to China — and fulfilled her calling.

Her story proves two things:

Obstacles are not in the way. Obstacles are the way. Each challenge is part of God’s design to build the strength and faith needed for the assignment.
Proper planning prevents poor performance. She didn’t just dream — she mapped out her route and followed through.

The Bible says, “Faith without works is dead” (James 2:26).

Vision must always be backed by action.

Or as Steven Covey reminds us, “Seek first to understand, then to be understood.”

The more we understand God’s wisdom, the better we can align our steps with His plan.

So let me ask you: are you only dreaming, or are you planning?

Today, write down your vision.

Identify the obstacles, the people to work with, and the resources you’ll need.

Then take the first step.

Because with God, the “impossible” is just the start of His story in your life.
