04 – The Secret of Asking for the Secret
The biggest secret ever is probably the most simple and best. The secret is that you should simply ask God for the secret. Everyday. And WAIT for him to tell you. Wait for as long as it takes. Waiting is why most people to WONT get the secrets. God told me that I need to Actually get on my knees to ask for the secret. God is worth way more than a simple bow. And do it first thing in the morning when it’s not convenient for me. God told me this morning that I need to get on my knees and thank him for some of the many blessings that he has given me before I ask for anything. Let alone, more secrets. I don’t deserve anything and all this asking for secrets without acknowledging what is has done for me is disrespectful and rude. The truth is that you don’t deserve to be breathing today. Life is a gift and the fact that you’re alive should be enough for you to bow down, thank God, and patiently wait until he speaks to you. Most won’t. I Will. I AM
Today’s revelation is profound in its simplicity: "Simply ask God for the secret. Every day. And wait for Him to tell you." This straightforward practice may seem simple, yet its depth and significance are often overlooked. The challenge lies not just in the asking but in the patient and reverent waiting that follows.
The Power of Asking and Waiting
Asking God for His guidance each day is a powerful way to deepen our relationship with Him. It demonstrates our dependence on His wisdom and our desire to align ourselves with His will. However, the waiting period is where the real transformation occurs. It’s not merely about enduring the time until we receive an answer but about cultivating patience and trust.
This waiting phase tests our commitment and reverence. It’s a chance to show our trust in God's perfect timing and His ability to provide what we need when we are truly ready to receive it. This practice requires a heart that is willing to submit to God's will, even when answers do not come immediately or in the way we expect.
Matthew 7:7: "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you."
- Psalm 27:14: "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
This morning, God impressed upon me the importance of approaching Him with a posture of humility and respect. Specifically, I was instructed to get on my knees when I ask for His secret. This physical act of kneeling symbolizes our submission and reverence before God, acknowledging that He is worthy of more than a mere bow; He deserves our utmost respect and devotion.
Before making any request, even a daily request for a secret, I must first thank Him for the blessings He has already bestowed upon me. This act of gratitude is not just a formality but a recognition of His sovereignty and generosity. It helps to put our requests into perspective, understanding that we do not deserve anything apart from His grace.
- Philippians 4:6: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
- Psalm 95:6: "Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker."
In our daily lives, it's easy to take our blessings for granted. We might approach God with a list of requests without pausing to appreciate the countless ways He has already provided for us. Today, I was reminded of the importance of gratitude. Before asking for more, we must acknowledge and thank God for what we have.
This practice of thankfulness reshapes our perspective. It reminds us that life itself is a gift—a gift we often overlook in our pursuit of more. The fact that we are alive today is a testament to God’s grace. Recognizing this truth should lead us to bow down in humble appreciation, understanding that our very breath is a testament to His generosity.
- 1 Thessalonians 5:18: "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
- Colossians 3:16-17: "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly... And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Living Out the Secret
- Begin with Humility: Start each day by physically demonstrating your reverence before God. Kneel as a symbol of your submission and respect. This act of humility sets the tone for your day and your requests.
- Express Gratitude: Before making any requests, take time to thank God for His blessings. Reflect on the gifts you have received and acknowledge His hand in your life. This gratitude should precede any request for secrets or further guidance.
- Ask with Patience: Make your request for God’s secret with an open heart, ready to receive His guidance. Then, practice patience. Allow time for God to respond in His way and timing.
- Wait Expectantly: Understand that waiting is part of the process. Use this time to deepen your trust in God and to prepare your heart for His answer. The waiting period is an opportunity for spiritual growth and alignment with His will.
· Isaiah 40:31: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
· Hebrews 10:36: "You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised."
The Challenge of Reverence
Embracing this practice is not without its challenges. In a world that values convenience and instant results, the act of getting on our knees and waiting with patience may seem inconvenient or even unnecessary to many. Yet, it is precisely this inconvenience that underscores the importance of reverence and commitment.
Most people may not be willing to undertake this daily discipline, but for those who do, it becomes a profound expression of faith. It’s a commitment to seeking God’s guidance in a manner that honors His greatness and acknowledges our dependence on Him.
The secret of reverent request is a call to approach God with humility, gratitude, and patience. It involves asking for His guidance daily, waiting expectantly for His answer, and doing so with a posture of deep respect. By integrating this practice into our lives, we align ourselves with a greater understanding of God’s will and deepen our relationship with Him.
As you embark on this journey, remember that the act of reverently asking and waiting is not just about receiving secrets but about transforming your heart and soul. It’s about recognizing the gift of life and approaching God with the honor and gratitude He deserves. In doing so, you prepare yourself to receive His guidance and blessings with a heart fully aligned with His purpose.
