The City of Edmonton and the Katz Entertainment Group acquired The Hat — but not the Hatter. The green top hat is on display at Legends atop the arena, and was later located alone in a room on the top floor of the Marriott.

DrHatterZ has filed for custody and visitation. The case is styled Bennett Jones, The City of Edmonton, and The Katz Entertainment Group v. DrHatterZ. Bennett Jones is operating out of Stantec Tower.
