What if your brain learned to choose humour over panic… and curiosity over anger?
Matthew McConaughey once said something that stuck with me:
“Make a sense of humour your default emotion.”
That line hit hard.
Because when humour becomes your default, you stay in the driver’s seat—
instead of constantly reacting to whatever life throws at you.
And life will throw things.
Stress. Setbacks. Curveballs. Stuff you never saw coming.
This isn’t about denying reality or brushing things off.
It’s about stripping situations of their power over you.
When humour is your first response:
  • You lighten the emotional load
  • You stay mentally flexible
  • You think more clearly under pressure
  • You become more resilient—and honestly, more magnetic to be around
I’ve been practicing a humour-first mindset for over a year now, and I can say without hesitation:
it’s reshaped my days for the better.
Not because life got easier—
but because I stopped letting it run me.
