We’re so excited you’re here!
This community was created for parents, caregivers, SLPs, educators, therapists, and communication partners who want a place to learn, ask questions, share wins, and have real conversations about communication.
Around here, you’ll see discussions about:
📱 AAC
🗣️ Gestalt Language Processing & echolalia
🎤 Childhood Apraxia of Speech
💜 Neurodiversity-affirming therapy
🎭 Using dramatic arts to support communication
✨ And so much more!
💡 TODAY’S COMMUNICATION FACT:
AAC does NOT prevent a child from developing spoken language.
AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and it can include communication devices, picture systems, signs, gestures, writing, and other ways a person communicates.
AAC isn’t about replacing speech.
It’s about giving someone more ways to communicate. 💜
And communication is ALWAYS bigger than spoken words.
🎭 YOUR TURN!
Introduce yourself below! 👇
Tell us:
💜 Are you a parent, therapist, educator, or another type of communication partner?
💜 Are you here to learn more about AAC, GLP, apraxia, speech therapy—or all of the above?
💜 What is ONE question you’d love to have answered inside this community?
There are no “silly” questions here.
Whether you’re completely new to this world or you’ve been in it for years, you belong in the conversation.
Welcome to the cast. 🎭💜
