- Who he was: A local stonemason and peasant living in the village of Kringa.
- When he lived: He died and was buried in the year 1656.

- The legend: After his death, locals claimed he rose from the grave at night as a štrigon (a local term for a vampire and warlock) to terrorize the village and visit his widow.
