Day 3
Playing a bit of catchup on posting here.
Daily read:
Genesis 30:1-31:16
Matthew 10:24-11:6
Psalm 13:1-6
Proverbs 3:16-18
I have been working on building my goals for this year and feel I need to be more specific, timely and manageable than in the past. I tend to dream big and have these lofty goal in my mind, which are great to have, but need to make sure it can be achievable in the allotted time.
Right now, may main goal is the be completely debt free by 7/1 and be in a comfortable financial position to leave the corporate world by 11/1. I wanted this to happen sooner but I wasn't being realistic and didn't have any supporting data to back it up. After running the numbers, it was clear that I needed to come back down to reality and be on a manageable trajectory so thats how I got to those dates.
As I continue to refine my goals, I need to ask myself does this goal better serve me or the Kingdom? Who benefits from this? Who will have the most positive impact from achieving this goal? If all those questions answered "me" then I know its not a goal that the Lord would instill in me to seek.
