Question for the group: what's the first thing you reach for when you're bored, stressed, or tired?
Be honest. For most of us it's the phone. I used to think mine was broken beyond repair, so I deleted 30 apps in one weekend hoping it would fix my screen time.
It barely moved. That's when I realized the apps weren't the actual problem. They were just the easiest trigger for a habit loop: feel something uncomfortable → reach for phone → tiny relief → repeat.
What actually helped me:
→ Grayscale mode after certain hours (color is doing more work than you think)
→ Charging my phone in another room, not next to my bed
→ Set check-in windows instead of checking every time I feel anxious
→ Letting myself sit in boring moments without filling them
None of it took willpower. It just made the old habit slightly less convenient, and gave my brain something else to do with the discomfort it was trying to numb.
If you're burned out, your phone isn't draining you because it's evil, it's draining you because it's the path of least resistance when you're tired.
Curious what's actually driving YOUR phone habit. Boredom? Anxiety? FOMO? Drop it below, let's figure out the real trigger together, not just the symptom.
