Yesterday I shared that I’ve been clearing out a storage unit and selling items on Facebook Marketplace.
What surprised me most wasn’t just that the items sold.
It was how many things sitting unused still had real value.
That led me to a simple idea that I want to explore with this community:
We’re converting unused belongings into cash.
Many homes contain things like:
• small appliances that are no longer used• extra furniture• tools or gadgets from past hobbies• decor that no longer fits our style• items from previous stages of life
These things often sit quietly in closets, garages, and storage units.
They aren’t being used anymore, but they still have value to someone else.
Instead of letting them sit indefinitely, we can convert them into money we can actually use.
This isn’t about starting a resale business.
And it’s not about flipping items for profit.
It’s simply about recognizing that our homes sometimes contain unused belongings that can become cash instead of clutter.
Over the next few days I’ll be sharing more about how the process works and what kinds of items tend to sell well.
For today, I’m curious about something:
Have you ever sold something from your home and been surprised by how much it was worth?
