Pillar 1 — The Decision Engine 🧠
Make better decisions faster using systematic thinking frameworks:
- First Principles Thinking – Break problems to fundamentals and rebuild solutions.
- Inversion – Solve by thinking backwards (“How would I fail?”).
- Second-Order Thinking – Consider consequences of consequences.
- Probabilistic Thinking – Make decisions based on likelihoods & expected value.
- Circle of Competence – Know what you know & stick to it unless expanding deliberately.
- Pre-Mortem – Assume failure and identify risks beforehand.
- Regret Minimization – Will I regret NOT doing this when I’m 80?
- Reversible vs Irreversible Decisions – Categorize decisions to move fast or slow.
- Expected Value Thinking – Compare options mathematically, not emotionally.
