Forgiveness
Today's Promise
Matthew 6:14-15 NKJV
[14] “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. [15] But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Today's Thought
Being unwilling to forgive others shows that you have not understood or benefited from God's forgiveness, because forgiveness is motivated by unconditional love. When God forgives you, you are freed from guilt and restored to fellowship with Him. When you forgive someone who has wronged you, you are free from bitterness and resentment that can saturate your soul like toxic waste. When you have been forgiven by another, you are free from indebtedness to that person. Receiving God's forgiveness and forgiving others are at the core of what it means to be a Christian.
Today's Plan
Who can you forgive who has hurt you deeply?
